INFORMASI AUTHORS
Journal Neo Societal (JNS) is dedicated to preserving the accuracy, credibility, transparency, and integrity of the published scholarly record. This policy is established with reference to the relevant principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) concerning the correction and retraction of scholarly publications.
JNS may issue a Correction when an error is discovered in a published article that requires formal amendment but does not substantially compromise the reliability of its principal research findings or conclusions.
Corrections may address inaccuracies introduced by authors or errors arising during editorial handling, manuscript preparation, or publication production. Each Correction will clearly indicate the information being amended and, where applicable, maintain the original publication record while providing a transparent account of the changes made.
JNS may retract a published article when convincing evidence demonstrates that the article is substantially unreliable or when serious violations of research integrity or publication ethics are established.
Circumstances that may justify retraction include:
A retraction may arise from unintentional errors as well as deliberate research or publication misconduct. Its principal purpose is to correct the academic record and protect its reliability, rather than to serve solely as a disciplinary measure against authors.
Every retracted article will be accompanied by a publicly available Retraction Notice that:
Retracted articles will remain part of JNS's publication archives and will not be inappropriately deleted or concealed from the scholarly record. Their Retracted status will be prominently indicated to ensure that readers understand that the publication should no longer be regarded as a reliable scholarly source.
Decisions regarding the publication of a Correction or Retraction will be determined by JNS through an assessment of the available evidence and the extent to which the identified concern affects the accuracy, reliability, or integrity of the published article.
Where necessary, the editorial team may request explanations, supporting documentation, or additional information from authors, reviewers, affiliated research institutions, or other relevant parties.
When substantial concerns regarding a published article remain unresolved and are subject to further examination, JNS may issue an Expression of Concern to inform readers of the potential problems while the assessment or investigation is ongoing.
JNS Policy Statement on Corrections and Retractions
Journal Neo Societal (JNS) is committed to implementing corrections and retractions whenever necessary to safeguard the accuracy, transparency, credibility, and integrity of the scholarly record. All post-publication editorial measures will be determined according to the available evidence, the seriousness of the identified concerns, and their implications for the reliability of published research.
In implementing this policy, JNS refers to relevant principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure that corrections, retractions, and other post-publication actions are conducted responsibly, fairly, and transparently.
